Women are the pillars of the Ethiopian society.
Even with the afforestation they bear the brunt, as here in plant transport
- 500 meters in height on a 7 km distance!
Les femmes sont les piliers de la société éthiopienne. Même avec le reboisement,
elles portent la charge principale, comme ici dans le transport des plantes
- sur un dénivelé de 500m et une distance de 7 km!
Afforestation Day: First the plants are carried up the mountain and then planted.
Jour de reboisement: D'abord, les plantes sont portées sur la montagne et ensuite plantées.
This hill is prepared for the reforestation in 2012.
Trenches (water reservoirs for the plants) and planting holes were dug.
After 5 years, a young forest will be here!

Des tranchées (réservoirs d'eau pour les plantes) et des trous de plantation ont été creusés .

The farmers and the guards dare no longer to go alone in the forest,
because of the wild animals that have settled here.

Donations 2010 - Success-News from Costa Rica! 
Thanks to the support of Artists For The World 9500 trees were planted in an ecological corridor.
The area demonstrates an amazing biodiversity. In a short stretch of about 20 kilometers, the corridor connects the country's major forest types: mangrove and deciduous forests, dry forests and rainforest, and, finally, cloud forests. Some animals depend on several forest types and need to roam. The corridor provides free access to the different ecosystems and allows also an genetical exchange.
Thanks to Artists For The World a big 'little' step towards the survival of the biodiversty and the 'green lungs' of our planet is done.
Spenden 2010 - Erfolgsmeldung aus Costa Rica! 
U.a. dank der Unterstützung von Artists For The World konnten 9500 Bäume in einem ökoligischen Korridor auf Costa Rica gepflanzt weren.
Ziel des Korridors ist es, isolierte Waldinseln zu vernetzen und somit u.a. wieder einen genetischen Austausch von Flora und Fauna zu ermöglichen.
Costa Rica zeichnet sich durch eine grosse Biodiversität aus und der ökologische Korridor von fast 20 km Länge verbindet verschiedene Ökosyteme: Mangroven, Laubwald, Trockenwald, Regenwald und Nebelwald. Zahlreiche Tierarten sind auf den freien Zugang und Wechsel zwischen den verschiedenen Waldarten, zum Überleben ihrer Art, angewiesen.
Dank Artists For The World ist ein grosser 'kleiner' Schritt in die richtige Richtung zur Rettung der Artenvielfalt und der grünen Lungen unseres Planeten gemacht.
Les dons 2010 - Nouvelles positives du Costa Rica! 
Grâce aussi au soutien d'Artists For The World, en 2011 9500 arbres ont été plantés pour creér un couloir éco-logique. Le but de l'opération est de reconnecter des îlots d'arbres isolés afin de permettre de nouveaux échanges génétiques pour la flore et la faune. Il y a une grande biodiversité au Costa Rica et le couloir d'une extension d'environ 20 km connecte divers écosystèmes, tels que: les mangroves, la forêt de feuillus, la forêt tropicale sèche, la forêt tropicale humide et la forêt montagneuse humide. De nombreuses espèces animales sont dépendentes d'une mixité et d'une diversité forestière.
Grâce à Artists For The World, un grand petit pas dans la bonne direction pour sauver la biodiversité et les poumons verts de notre planète a été fait.

Grazie anche al sostegno di Artists For The World, 9500 alberi sono stati piantati per dar vita ad un nuovo corridoio ecologico.
Lo scopo dell'operazione è di ricollegare isole di foreste, al fine di permettere nuovi scambi genetici di flora e fauna.
Costa Rica ha una grande biodiversità ed il corridoio riforestato –di circa 20 km d'estensione– congiunge differenti ecosistemi quali, la mangrovia, il bosco di latifoglie, la foresta pluviale tropicale secca, la foresta tropicale humida e la foresta nebulare. Molteplici specie animali dipendono dalle risorse naturali dei vari ecosistemi, i corridoi permettono oggi nuovi liberi accessi ed un nuovo scambio vitale.
Grazie a Artists For The World è stato fatto un primo grande 'piccolo' passo per salvare la biodiversità ed i 'polmoni verdi' del nostro pianeta.
